The provisions of the Malta Companies Act require a 3 month publication period in order for certain transactions, primarily those which may impact creditors, to become effective.
A large number of companies usually require these transactions to take effect before their 31st December financial year end, thus requiring publication by 30th September.
In the light of this, the Malta Business Registry (MBR) has issued a notice urging companies and their service providers processing transactions requiring publication and which need to be finalised by the end of December to submit these documents to the Registry by 9th September 2024.
